Christmas in the Park

The City of Fort Myers celebrates the season with Christmas in the Park from 4 to 10 p.m. on December 8 in Centennial Park in Fort Myers. All are invited to this free event. The City’s recreation division has planned a full schedule for the occasion; children’s activities include bounce house, an inflatable obstacle course and a giant slide. At 5 p.m., Santa will arrive by fire truck to visit with the children. Adults will enjoy a performance of holiday favorites by the Southwest Florida Symphony starting at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m., Mayor Randy Henderson will light the City’s Christmas tree. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the free Movie in the Park is the Christmas classic Disney’s A Christmas Carol, starring Jim Carrey. One dollar concessions will be available during the movie. Remember to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Free onsite parking is available.
