Keyleigh Ferrari and her family’s first trip to Sanibel Island this summer was full of sun, relaxation and family fun – until her 2-year-old son Harrison lost his beloved teddy bear. 

Ferrari posted about the lost bear on a local Sanibel Facebook group, prompting dozens to reach out and offer to help. Vacationers heading to Sanibel offered to search for the bear, while others living near where the bear was originally purchased in Tennessee offered to buy Harrison a new one.

The support they received has made the Ferrari family eager to return to Sanibel for their next vacation. 

“After this outreach, it’s just our new favorite spot,” Keyleigh Ferrari told NBC-2.
