Bier is back again!
Mar 03, 2025 08:00AM ● By Ann Marie O’PhelanThe German American Social Club of Cape Coral is, once again, opening its Bavarian Gardens to replicate the fun of the annual Oktoberfest, the largest local party of the year, and to celebrate its German heritage during the Biergarten Fest on the weekend of March 15th and 16th. The festivities take place on Saturday from 12-8 pm and Sunday from 12 to 7 pm. “After the huge success of our 39th Oktoberfest last year, the club members cannot wait to celebrate good times and sunshine, teaming up to get the festivities back into full swing for its Southwest Florida Freunde,” says Susie Zimmer of the Club’s Publicity & Advertising.
In addition to plenty of bier, the festivities will include lively German and other genres of music, talented dancers, and delicious German foods.

GASC President Erich Kohl is excited to welcome the community back to the club and celebrate spring in the Cape Coral gardens. The March Biergarten Fest will be the second one of 2025, with the first taking place on February 15 and 16, 2025.
“Southwest Florida is invited to enjoy another weekend of fun with German food, beer or wine, music, and above all, what we call ‘Gemütlichkeit’,” adds Zimmer.
Throughout the weekend, the shaded gardens will be filled with traditional German music and the delicious aroma of typical German fare, such as Bratwurst, Knockwurst, Schnitzel, and potato pancakes.
Tickets are $5, and parking is free, and children ages 12 and under are free! Check out the club’s website, www.gasc-capecoral.com , for more information on the various events being offered.
