Celtic Magic in Fort Myers

Jan 04, 2026 08:00AM ● By Ann Marie O’Phelan

Bagpipes, fiddles, harps, and tin whistles are just a few of the magical instruments you’ll get a chance to hear by attending the 2026 Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival. Indeed, from Saturday, January 24, through Sunday, January 25, the downtown area comes alive with the sound of Celtic.

“This is the largest such festival in Southwest Florida. Celebrating its 22nd edition this year, the much-anticipated 2026 Caloosahatchee Celtic Festival will have a lot of old favorites and new flair, with a full weekend of Celtic vibes and heritage (including Guinness) planned,” says Brian Craig, the City of Fort Myers’ Special Events Manager.

The event will feature a first-time performance to the festival’s headliners! “We welcome the Celtic rock legends, the Young Dubliners. They have released nine albums to date, and are working on their 10th,” explains Craig. The band’s set will draw from all their albums and include unreleased new material. Also new this year is a Highland Games demonstration with the Foundation for Scottish Athletes. The Highland Games feature traditional events that date back centuries. Find out more at f4sa.org.

The event takes place Saturday, January 24 through Sunday, January 25, right in the heart of downtown Fort Myers at the stunning Caloosa Sound Amphitheater, 2101 Edwards Drive. Its lovely setting is near the Caloosahatchee River. Find out more at Caloosasoundamp.com.

For those who love music, historic Downtown Fort Myers on First and Hendry Streets is the place to be on every third Friday of the month, this next one being January 16, 2026, from 6 pm to 10 pm. Local musicians, playing rock, country, alternative, jazz, and more, perform for free on closed streets to a lively crowd. There are plenty of places to grab a bite right nearby, so the evening is complete. It’s great family fun. Find out more at Myriverdistrict.com.
