Biking the Refuge Tour

Bike enthusiast bring your bicycles and join us on tour of the birds and ecology of J. N. "Ding" Darling NWR.

*Tours will not be conducted if guidelines are not met by all participants and the guide has the right to terminate the tour if deemed unsafe.

Cyclists will follow a naturalist on the Wildlife Drive/Indigo trail loop to learn about the Refuge's bird life and ecology.

Meet at the flagpole in front of the Visitor and Education Center for a fun filled 4-mile loop ride. Arrive by 9:20 to check-in and confirm your attendance. If you do not arrive by 9:20, your spot may be given to someone else. This tour is limited to 10 individuals and you must bring your own bike. Once all participates arrive, all will follow the naturalist into the drive with free entrance for the tour (no free re-entry). This tour is scheduled for 1 1/2- 2 hours (but you can leave at any point!) and covers about 4 miles of paved road and hard packed shell trail.
