Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Stephen Prendiville of The Q iLASIK & Med Spa will host a free seminar entitled “Defy Nature” Friday, May 7, to discuss ways residents can minimize the effects of aging and obtain a more youthful appearance.

The seminar begins at 11:30 a.m. with a light lunch at the Ritz-Carlton Naples Beach Resort at 280 Vanderbilt Beach Road. The seminar is free, but reservations are required by calling 239-329-THEQ. Space is limited.

The seminar also will include a silent auction to benefit the Imagine Children’s Health Center and help in its mission to provide psychological counseling and treatment for school-aged children.

Among the options Dr. Prendiville will discuss is the new Virtue RF microneedling procedure to correct facial wrinkles and tighten skin without surgery. Virtue RF delivers radio frequency energy to a variety of depths, regardless of skin type, to stimulate the production of collagen. It can be used for several facial rejuvenation treatments, including skin tightening, acne scarring, stretch marks, scars and improvements in skin texture, according to Dr. Prendiville, who is the medical director of The Q iLASIK & Med Spa in Naples and also is director of the cosmetic division of Quigley Eye Specialists.

Using before and after pictures of actual patients, Dr. Prendiville also will discuss fillers, such as Juvederm®, Radiesse®, Restylane®, Botox® Cosmetic, Dysport® and others, as well as facelifts, eyelid lifts, nose surgery, lasers and reconstructive surgery.
