Southwest Florida’s favorite summer-meets-spooky celebration is back — and bigger than ever. Fort Myers Brewing Company’s SummerWeen is expanding to a two-day event on Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30, giving fans more time to enjoy live music, over-the-top costumes, delicious eats, and a special small-batch beer collaboration you can only get at the brewery. Why it’s a must-cover: Two days of photo-ready fun – vibrant costumes, carved watermelons, and a Cowgirl Summer DIY hat and bandana bar. Local music headliners – including Rock Republic, Back Country Boys, Taylor Tones, Jenny Ve, and more. Exclusive beer release – a strawberry-peach fruited lager collaboration with Rock Republic, brewed just for SummerWeen. Community favorite – packed taproom, energetic crowds, and an event that has become a Southwest Florida tradition. “SummerWeen has quickly become one of our most anticipated events of the year,” said Jen Whyte, co-owner of Fort Myers Brewing Company. “The fun and nostalgia of celebrating a little ‘pre-Halloween’ in the middle of summer has struck a chord with our community.
