The event provides candidates with an opportunity to speak directly with transportation recruiters and learn about open positions, qualifications and next steps in the hiring process. School bus drivers serving the District are responsible for providing safe, timely, efficient and courteous transportation services for Lee County students. Mechanics work collaboratively to conduct thorough vehicle safety inspections and perform minor repairs to keep the fleet operating efficiently.

Minimum qualifications for bus drivers include at least five years of driving experience, a satisfactory driving record and a Social Security card. The District provides free training for candidates who do not already possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
