‘Tis the season to plan for the holidays, if you haven’t done so already. The next few months will be a call for celebrations with the upcoming holidays. One festive way to celebrate is by attending a holiday show at a local theater.

The Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre is a special choice, as in addition to a fabulous show, one can enjoy a delicious buffet dinner. Pretty Woman: The Musical ends on Saturday, November 15, 2025, and what’s on stage next is A Christmas Story, which will run from Friday, November 21, through Sunday, December 28, 2025.
“The story is based on the beloved 1983 film; this laugh-out-loud musical captures all the warmth, nostalgia, and hilarity of Ralphie Parker’s unforgettable childhood Christmas,” says Kathy Bernier, Director of Sales and Marketing.
This story is set in the 1940s, and features iconic moments, such as the infamous leg lamp, the pink bunny pajamas, the cranky department store Santa, and the triple-dog dare!
“With lively music, clever choreography, and heartwarming humor, A Christmas Story is a holiday treat for the whole family,” explains Bernier.
Performances are Tuesday through Sunday evenings, with selected matinees. Tickets can be reserved by calling 239-278-4422, by visiting BroadwayPalm.com, or by stopping by the box office at 1380 Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Other options include enjoying an Off Broadway Palm Theatre show inside the Broadway Palm Theatre, where meal and show packages are available. Steel Magnolias, which inspired the 1989 hit movie, offers laughter, love, and Southern charm. The show ends on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The feel-good celebration for all ages, The Winter Wonderettes, offers plenty of holiday cheer. The show runs from Thursday, November 27, through Sunday, December 28, 2025. Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, 1380 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, 239-278-4422.

Another great place to see a holiday show is at the Florida Repertory Theatre, 2268 Bay Street, Fort Myers, 239-332-4488. The drama, Doubt, A Parable, ends Sunday, November 16, 2025. The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge runs from Tuesday, December 2 through Sunday, December 21, 2025. This holiday comedy features ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future, and is a memorable event for the whole family. Set inside the historic Arcade Theatre, the performances run Tuesdays through Sundays. A full concession bar is in the Main Lobby. At the Art Stage Studio Theatre, a smaller, more intimate venue, The Rat Pack Lounge, a musical with over 30 hit songs, ends on November 16, 2025. Advice, a comedy, runs from Tuesday, December 9, through Sunday, January 11, 2026. This second performance venue is within Florida Rep’s Historic Arcade Theatre on Bay Street.
So, make your holidays happy, and enjoy the show!
